Thanksgiving Beer Pairings That Shame ChardonnayIt’s time to discover the incredible versatility of craft beer with food pairings. The holiday season is in full swing, and that means it’s almost time to stuff your face with turkey and all of the trimmings and pass out in front of the TV watching football. It’s time you learned about some amazing Thanksgiving beer pairings to try out this year.
Aren’t you tired of the same old wine every year?
If you’re like most American households, you’ll probably be having a cheapo bottle of wine, most likely white. But why? Well the guys that market wine, what can we say, they’re good. They’re so good they might make you think that wine goes better with food than craft beer.
But nothing could be further from the truth.
The fact is that craft beer has so much more range and flexibility when it comes to food pairings. Because you can add just about anything when brewing beer, you can literally create a beer that will pair with anything. A perfect example of this? Pumpkin pie washed down with a spiced pumpkin ale. I mean, does it get any better than that?
Due to its much lower price point and smaller packaging, craft beer is also much more approachable and affordable. You don’t have to compromise and order a bottle of wine for the entire table that best fits everyone’s dishes, or have to settle for a below average wine by the glass. Instead, everyone at the table can order a specific craft beer to fit each course of their entire meal, and they can do it for less than a good bottle of wine would cost.
