In this first video I explain one of the biggest questions many people new to homebrewing have. One of my most popular home brewing tips – what is malt extract brewing and how is it used in home brewing? Malt extract can be a huge time, space and money saver for the homebrewer. It eliminates one of the most tedious parts of homebrewing, creating a mash.
When you mash beer you have to invest in lots of large, heavy equipment, and it can be quite a pain to be honest. But there is a shortcut.
Instead, you have the malt companies do the hard work for you! You simply buy malt extract and it cuts out hours of the homebrewing process. How long does it take to brew beer at home? If you go with malt extract brewing, you can cut it down to two to three hours on your brew day!
